Steeple View is an airy open plan 1 bed studio apartment at the top of the building and is accessed up a robust spiral stairs. With a restful outlook across fields up to the ‘Cathedral of the Forest’, the apartment is sunny, bright and furnished with rustic pine country antiques. It’s no accident that it is called “Steeple View”!

The apartment has a large bedroom area with charming botanical wallpaper! The bed is a UK king size with hand-crafted quality orthopaedic 3000 inner-sprung, cashmere tufted mattress, with luxurious down and goose feather pillows and duvet, which all our guests love! Synthetic options available on request. Bed linen is top quality high thread count Egyptian Cotton and professionally laundered, comfort level…… bliss! Ample storage with a large antique pine wardrobe and drawers to pack away belongings.

The fully equipped marble floored eat-in kitchen has a country chic farmhouse table and chairs and has far reaching views to the church and the hills beyond. Quality appliances and all the pots, pans, crockery, glassware and kitchen necessities to make it a “home from home”! There is a Nespresso Gusto coffee machine with complimentary pods and cooking basics such as oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.

The sitting area is cozy and intimate with a large sofa and a French antique armchair and footstool, perfect to put your feet up after a satisfying day out enjoying the idyllic countryside.

There is free wifi, a smart tv to stream apps and music and a collection of magazines, books and board games to amuse. Antique and eclectic art adorn the walls!

The classic styled bathroom with a Victorian stained glass roof-light, throwing glorious colours in, a pretty antique washstand, tumbled marble floor, old fashioned metro tiles and a walk-in shower is elegant and stylish.

Newland sits on the edge of both The Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley AONB, and is a good central location from which to plan your visit and an ideal centre for walking with numerous rambles to be taken directly from the property....... including a less than five minute walk to the "Cathedral of The Forest", All Saints Church and The Ostrich Inn Newland - a great spot for a welcoming drink or a fine pub meal!
