Cathedral View is an open plan 1 bedroom apartment with lovely period details, most notably its original vaulted ceiling and gothic feature window. The sitting room and kitchen are separated from the bedroom with a stunning stained glass period partition wall, the apartment feels intemate, spacious and special!

The bedroom is ample with rustic antique furniture sitting on a quality wool carpet. The bed is a UK king size with hand-crafted quality orthopaedic 3000 inner-sprung, cashmere tufted mattress, and with luxurious down and goose feather pillows and duvet, which all our guests love! Synthetic options available on request. Bed linen is top quality high thread count Egyptian Cotton and professionally laundered, comfort level….. bliss!  There is plenty  of storage with a large walk in wardrobe and an antique set of drawers to pack away belongings.

The fully equipped eat-in kitchen has an elegant antique style rattan dining suite and with far reaching views across the fields to the “Cathedral of The Forest” and the hills beyond. Quality appliances and all the pots, pans, crockery, glassware and kitchen necessities to make it a “home from home”! There is a Nespresso Gusto coffee machine with complimentary pods and cooking basics such as oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.

The sitting room is cozy and romantic with a super wood burning stove and all the complimentary logs you can burn, a large sofa and a very comfy leather reclining armchair, the perfect space to relax after a day out enjoying the idyllic surroundings.

There is free wifi, a smart tv to stream apps and music and a collection of magazines, books and board games to amuse. Antique and eclectic art adorn the walls!

The classic styled bathroom with a pretty antique washstand, tumbled marble floor, old fashioned metro tiles and a generous walk-in shower is elegant and stylish. 

Odyssey Black Pepper & Sandalwood hand-wash, body-wash and shampoo are provided with deep evocative aromas of essential oils, Vegan and cruelty free. The luxurious Egyptian cotton bath sheets, hand towels and facecloths are thick and fluffy.

Dedicated parking is directly outside the apartment and it has its own terrace to enjoy the valley views. We provide the goods to enjoy a welcome beverage with complimentary bubbles, tea, coffee and snacks.

Newland sits on the edge of both The Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley AONB, and is a good central location from which to plan your visit and an ideal centre for walking with numerous rambles to be taken directly from the property....... including a less than five minute walk to the "Cathedral of The Forest", All Saints Church and The Ostrich Inn Newland - a great spot for a welcoming drink or a fine pub meal!
