Palm House is a luxuriously appointed spacious two bedroom apartment. It has a stunning Regency sitting room, resplendent in its tropical palm house wallpaper, high ornate ceiling, antique French chandelier and a great big feature window with plantation shutters. Classic Knoll sofas and rattan furniture add character and style to this designer space.

The apartment has two large bedrooms, with a collection of refined antique furniture sitting on a quality wool carpet. Both bedrooms are spacious and the beds are UK king size with hand-crafted quality orthopaedic 3000 inner-sprung, cashmere tufted mattresses, with luxurious down and goose feather pillows and duvets, which all our guests love! Synthetic options available on request. Bed linen is top quality high thread count Egyptian Cotton and professionally laundered, comfort level……. bliss!

Both bedrooms have large wardrobes and antique sets of drawers to pack away belongings. The larger bedroom has an antique French daybed which can be made up for an extra guest on request.

A Classic styled bathroom with an impressive antique washstand, tumbled marble floor, old fashioned metro tiles, a slipper bath to relax in and a separate walk-in shower make this an elegant and stylish family bathroom. There is a washer/dryer and a hair dryer for your use in the bathroom cupboard.

Odyssey Black Pepper & Sandalwood hand-wash, body-wash and shampoo are provided with deep evocative aromas of essential oils, Vegan and cruelty free. The luxurious Egyptian cotton bath sheets, hand towels and facecloths are thick and fluffy.

The fully equipped large eat-in kitchen has an elegant antique style rattan dining suite and far reaching views to the “Cathedral of The Forest” and the hills beyond. Quality appliances and all the pots, pans, crockery, glassware and kitchen necessities to make it a “home from home”! There is a Nespresso Gusto coffee machine with complimentary pods and cooking basics such as oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.

There is free wifi, a smart tv to stream apps and music and a collection of magazines, books and board games to amuse. Antique and eclectic art adorn the walls!

Two dedicated parking spaces are directly outside the apartment as is its own terrace. Eat in the kitchen bathed in evening sun or outdoors on your terrace with peaceful valley views. We provide the goods to enjoy a welcome beverage with complimentary bubbles, tea, coffee and snacks.

Newland sits on the edge of both The Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley AONB, and is a good central location from which to plan your visit and an ideal centre for walking with numerous rambles to be taken directly from the property....... including a less than five minute walk to the "Cathedral of The Forest", All Saints Church and The Ostrich Inn Newland - a great spot for a welcoming drink or fine pub meal! 

In the unlikely event of a fire this apartment is unsuitable for people with mobility issues due to the limitations on its emergency egress as one exit is through a sash window opening 78cm above floor level.
