WOOFIELD ACCOMMODATION

OUR AREA

The verdant Wye Valley marks the border between England and Wales, punctuated by the Offa's Dyke Path and features some of the most stunning countryside to be found in both. There is much to explore and a myriad of activities including kayaking, paddle boarding, rock climbing, golfing and the many hiking and cycling trails the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean AONB are famous for.

Newland is a pretty little village, dating from the middle ages, in the centre of which is the magnificent "Cathedral of the Forest", All Saints Church, dating back to the 13th century. The main part of the village is grouped around the church and its churchyard, which are overlooked by the dog-friendly The Ostrich Inn. The church is worth a visit, containing many interesting artefacts, including the original Miner's Brass, the symbol of the Royal Forest of Dean.

Newland sits on the edge of both The Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley AONB, and is a good central location from which to plan your visit and an ideal centre for walking with numerous rambles to be taken directly from the property.......
